Sísí Èko Collection

The Official Midwest Fashion Week team celebrates 10years of bringing Midwest Fashion to world, and this season, they showcased an afro-contemporary fashion designs of brand Stylenspire. 

On a night of Runway showcase featuring the works of established designers, Stylenspire was on deck to reveal our SPRING '17 CAPSULE COLLECTION. 

Fashion Design Artist, Yemisi Sanni shares that “the Sísí Èko collection is reminiscent of my childhood. It is the story of the aunties I had in my life, my Lagos aunties. They where beautiful, fearless, defiant and fun loving free spirits. They made the rules as they went and loved living life with joy and on the edge. They had a love for all things imported, yet boldly celebrated their Yòrúba heritage with deep affection. “

She tried to capture their essence and style in this whimsical collection by using traditional woven lace fabrics in silhouettes that has the ease of wear and very "imported" elegance.
